2003-2009 Artworks Meme by phantom-inker 2003-2009 Artworks Meme by phantom-inker
It's bandwagon time! :D

So a lot of other folks are doing this, and it just so happens that 2003 was the first year I really got back into drawing artwork, so I thought I'd chime in with my own.

I haven't really thought that my improvement since 2003 was that substantial, but the more I look at it, the more I think I really have changed a bit; if you compare, say, Ally in 2003 to Emily in 2009, or Anne in 2003 to Roxy in 2009, well, it's not really a fair comparison; everything from the pose to the linework to the shading to the detail is improved, so I guess I really must've gotten better. (Not that those old works suck or anything; I just think the new ones are better.)

So here we are starting on 2010. What'll be new this year? Heck if I know. Stay tuned and find out! :D

(Oh, and if you want the blank version of the meme, *Kamaniki has it here.)

You draw all your faces the same way, with pretty much the same expression.

Little details are the difference between amateurs and professionals... I must say. Great trajectory.

Neither had I, but when you compare the oldest works to the newest, there's no doubt I've changed. Here's hoping it's for the better ^^;

Go, P-I! :dance:

I won't make a big ol' list here, but I really like your cecaelia and lamia; especially the likes of "I Promise..." which had those hints of unseen magic and wonder. :nod:

Oh- you do know that Sega made mermaid versions of Asuka and Rei from Evangelion in 2006, right...? (I have both, BTW.)

I say, for all the clothing-changes and moe that follows those two around all the time (and newcomer Mari from Rebuild...?), that the Extra Mermaid Series line had a lot of untapped potential in the figures market. (Like Misato, Ritsuko, Hikari, Maya, etc...)
