A Jennie of the Flashlight Story

George was having a lousy day.  His girlfriend had left him last week, but that wasn’t exactly news.  Today, he’d just been fired from his burger-flipping job, not that that was something worth worrying about, but when he came out of the restaurant, he found his car had been towed.  It was hard to imagine the day getting much worse, but he knew these things came in threes, so here he sat on a park bench just waiting for the world to dish him up his last bit of suffering.  With his luck, it would be a letter saying his tuition check had bounced.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Ella who lived in a small cottage with her mother and her father.  Father was a kind man who loved his family very much, and Mother was as sweet and gentle as a summer’s breeze, and it was often said that Ella was as kind as her father and as pretty as her mother.  They lived a happy carefree life.

Then Mother grew sick.  And as she lay on her bed, her face pale, and the last of the doctors had left shaking his head, Father donned his coat and left, his face sullen and determined.

Neon Genesis Evangelion's Misato Katsuragi again, in a nice G-rated version this time. Sort of. Assuming octopus mermaids can be G-rated (hey, Ursula was, so why can't Misato be?).

I felt like doing another version of this that everybody could see, but I didn't really want to draw that wrinkled red jacket of hers. Wrinkles are annoying. While browsing through some screenshots from the series, I found her wearing that pink shirt, and decided it would look very nice on her here. A few other minor alterations yielded a drawing everybody can see. So here ya go, kiddies, enjoy.

That is so cute, right down to the tentacles. ^w^ And totally G-rated, too. I love the idea of the Octopus mermaid, because it's more unique and I have never seen it before, other than in the case of Ursula.

I like the concept too, and you're right: You really don't see them very often. Overall, I like the Jenny/Penny character and storyline; but I think I'm going to have Jenny successfully change her hair back to normal, because in retrospect, it looks like just a little too much for her character design. Still, I like the concept, and sooner or later, you'll probably see another picture of her here.

And ratings are relative: I'd call this G-rated, but I know people who would call it triple-X ;)
