iPod Allyby *phantom-inker

So a couple days after posting the last picture of Ally,

posted this picture of her character Kali rocking out to an iPod. And it was inspiring: There've been lots of creatures rocking out to an iPod in Apple's ads and fan art, but nobody's done a centaur yet. And thus we have Ally, borrowing my iPod to advertise for Apple.

Did this in a mere four-ish hours, and did everything from the waist down without reference pictures! I'm not sure her hind legs turned out all that well, but hey, she still looks cool here

An interesting question to ask: How does a centaur dance? I guess this is as good a guess as any...

The cool shiznit that is the iPod is (c) Apple, of course, as are the ads that contain it. (I love my iPod!) And Ally is (c) me.

This is 1024x768, intentionally sized to be usable as desktop wallpaper (i.e., you have permission to use it as that if you want to).

I created her, and Anne liked the story I created for her enough that Anne added her to the Wotch universe, which was a wonderful thing. Someday, I need to talk with Anne about doing the next part of Ally's story: Ally has more story that I've worked out for her, and every time she appears in the comic the fans really like it.

I know I do! I loved when she was holding "Andy" and was looking like "Oh boy what have I gotten myself into" Or when Miranda was first introduced and she was telling Ally she couldn't do anything to help her. It broke my heart. T_T Though at least she did manage to help her.

Interestingly there's a scene in "The Kentauride" where Mark leaves Tanita his backpack and she finds his iPod in it. She has exceptional hearing, but the next time he comes to see her she doesn't hear him arrive because she's listening to the iPod and dancing. I'm tempted to post it just for fun.

nice ipod ad. looks just like the ones on the lobotomy box (tv). the shadow was also well executed. fantastic picture.

Thanks! I tried hard to match the style as closely as I could; I love my iPod, and I wanted to make it obvious that Ally loves hers too
